Getting Started
Government Primary School
If your child is currently in Year 6 at a government primary school:

Complete the Application for Year 7 Placement 2026 (found in the Placement Information Pack) and return to your child's primary school by Friday, May 9th 2025.
Non-Government Primary School
If your child is seeking a place at a government secondary school in 2026:

Designated Neighbourhood School
The zone for Bemin Secondary College is the geographic area served by the school. The best way to find out if your home is in the Bemin Secondary College zone is to check the Department of Education school zone map at findmyschool.vic.gov.au.

A child has the right to attend their local (zoned) school. Families can also apply to a school that is not their local school.
If the zone line intersects the block of land containing your residence, then your child has a right to attend either school.

Enrolment Applications are welcome.

Applications for Year 7 Placement 2026 close.

July 1, 2025
Families will receive notification of the child's Year 7 placement offer.

By August 12, 2025
Families must return the Year 7 Placement Acceptance Slip to their child's primary school (for government primary students) or Bemin Secondary College (for non-government primary students)

December 9, 2025
Bemin Secondary College will host a Year 7 2026 Orientation Day for all students commencing Year 7 next year.
