We're excited to announce that the 2027 Year 10 Subject Handbook is now available, providing students and families with everything they need to begin planning an engaging and successful Year 10 program.
Year 10 is an important transition year that allows students to deepen their learning, explore areas of interest, and prepare for senior secondary pathways. The choices students make at this stage help build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for success in VCE, VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM), VET programs, and beyond.
The 2027 Year 10 Subject Handbook includes:
An overview of the Year 10 curriculum.
Descriptions of all elective subjects available in 2027.

Details about accelerated learning opportunities, including VCE studies for eligible students.
Subject recommendations and pathway advice to support future study and career aspirations.
Year 10 provides students with the opportunity to discover new passions while developing the independence and learning habits that will support them in their senior years. We encourage students to choose subjects that challenge them, build on their strengths, and align with their interests and future goals.
Students and families are encouraged to read the handbook together and discuss subject selections with classroom teachers, Learning Specialists, Careers staff, and members of the school leadership team. These conversations will help ensure each student's program is both balanced and tailored to their individual aspirations.
Throughout the subject selection period, students will participate in information sessions and have opportunities to ask questions before submitting their preferences for 2027.
