Bemin Secondary College is proud to share that its 2025-2029 School Strategic Plan (SSP) has been finalised and endorsed, setting a clear and ambitious direction for the next four years of growth and improvement.

Submitted by Principal Joanne Camozzato and endorsed by Senior Education Improvement Leader Sandra Eglezos on 24 July 2025, the plan outlines a shared vision for student learning, wellbeing, and community engagement across our growing dual-campus college.

Our Vision and Mission

At the heart of the plan is our unwavering commitment to empowering every student to achieve their best. We aim to foster a learning environment built on Respect, Excellence, Innovation, and Community: our core values. Through differentiated pathways and a strong sense of identity and belonging, all students will be supported to thrive academically and personally.

Priorities and Key Improvement Strategies

The SSP prioritises:

  • Improving literacy and numeracy outcomes through differentiated teaching and high expectations.

  • Establishing a robust VCE program.

  • Building an inclusive, positive learning climate across both campuses.

  • Strengthening community engagement to support student attendance, wellbeing, and post-school pathways.

To achieve these, the plan outlines a range of targeted improvement strategies, including professional learning for staff, evidence-based teaching, multi-tiered wellbeing supports, and increased student agency.

Context and Next Steps

Since opening in 2024, Bemin Secondary College has grown rapidly, serving students from over 26 primary schools and multiple feeder colleges. With continued expansion toward a full Year 7-12 offering by 2026, the strategic plan ensures the College is well-positioned to meet the needs of our community.

Over the coming months, the College will begin implementing the plan through structured actions and progress monitoring, including collaboration with students, staff, and families.

We look forward to working together as a school community to bring this strategic vision to life.
