Bemin Secondary College proudly joined the Truganina community to celebrate the 2024 Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Book Week. Our Year 7 students actively participated in various events that emphasised the joy of reading and the importance of literacy.
The day began with a special visit to Warreen Primary School, where some of our students had the opportunity to read picture storybooks to the Foundation students. The younger students were captivated by the stories, and it was heartwarming to see the connection between our students and the next generation of readers.
Later in the day, other students visited the Truganina Library Lounge during lunchtime. There, they explored the library's resources and learned more about its services and programs. This visit was an excellent chance for our students to discover the valuable role the library plays in supporting their educational journey and fostering a love of reading.
We are thrilled to have been part of such a meaningful celebration of CBCA Book Week and look forward to continuing our collaboration with the Truganina community in the future.
