On Wednesday 30 April, Bemin Secondary College proudly hosted its Year 7 2026 Information Evening, welcoming prospective students and families from across our local community.
The evening began with a respectful Acknowledgement of Country, recognising the Bunurong People as the Traditional Owners of the land on which our college stands, and paying respect to Elders past and present.
Families were introduced to the vision and mission of Bemin Secondary College—empowering all students to thrive in learning and wellbeing through creativity, innovation, and strong community partnerships. With a clear focus on high expectations and inclusive, individualised pathways, Bemin offers a nurturing and future-focused learning environment for every student.
Highlights of the evening included:
An overview of the Junior School team, led by Assistant Principal Elyshia Sheldon and supported by Leading Teachers Miranda Orford and Suzanne Higginbottom, and Year Level Coordinator Daniel Ridolfi.
Insights into our Check and Connect Program, a key part of each school day that builds belonging and wellbeing.
Information about our comprehensive curriculum, including core subjects, semester-based electives, wellbeing programs, and future pathways like early access to VCE and the High Ability Program.
Details about our student wellbeing supports, from our dedicated counsellors and inclusion aides to a structured wellbeing curriculum and school-wide positive behaviours framework.
Families also had the opportunity to explore the College’s facilities and learning spaces, speak with staff, and learn more about the enrolment process for Year 7 in 2026.
We thank all who attended and look forward to welcoming the next generation of Bemin students. For more information on enrolment, please visit beminsc.vic.edu.au/enrolments.
